2013 HSA Contribution Limits

The IRS announced that the maximum contribution amount will rise for HSA participants in 2013. A participant who elects single coverage will be able to contribute up to $3,250 and a participant who elects family coverage will be able to contribute up to $6,450.

For 2013, minimum deductible limits have risen to $1,250 for individuals and $2,500 for families. The maximum out of pocket limits have also increased for 2013 over 2012. The 2013 limits are $6,250 for singles and $12,500 for families. The maximum out of pocket limits for 2012 were $6,050 for single and $12,100 for families.
